RingCentral Events

Stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for RingCentral Events.

Release date: June 22, 2026

  • Pre-assign breakout rooms: Organizers can now pre-assign attendees to breakout rooms before the event starts, removing the need to manually move participants once a session is live.
    • Organizers can create breakout rooms and assign attendees to specific rooms in advance from the event management dashboard.
    • Pre-assigned attendees are automatically routed to their designated room when breakout sessions begin.
    • Assignments can be updated or removed at any point before the session goes live.

  • Content Hub updates
    • Direct video sharing: Content Hub users can now copy a direct URL for any individual video, allowing them to share a link that takes recipients straight to that specific video rather than a generic landing page.  A direct shareable URL is available for each video in the Content Hub, and recipients who follow the link land on the specific video, bypassing the general library view.
    • Support rehearsal and backup recording categories in content: Rehearsal and backup recordings are now fully surfaced and editable in the Content Hub, giving organizers access to content that was previously captured but not visible.
    • Change video playback speed: Viewers can now adjust playback speed on recorded content across event replay, the recording editor, and the Content Hub. The supported speeds: 0.5x, 1x (default), 1.5x, 2x, and 3x.
  • Organization recordings: Organizers can now upload and manage recordings at the organization level, making post-event content available across multiple events from a single location.
    • Recordings can be uploaded directly to the organization's Content Hub and published to one or more events.
    • Organizers can select which events a recording is associated with via a publish dialog.
    • Uploaded recordings appear in the Content Library alongside existing event recordings

  • Mute and unmute participants from People tab: Moderators can now mute and unmute individual participants from the People tab, including attendees who appear in the overflow tile and would be unreachable from the main stage view.
    • Mute and unmute controls are available inline for each participant listed in the People tab.
    • When an unmute request is sent, a spinner is shown to indicate the pending state, and the state is retained if the dialog is suspended.
    • Search on People tab is not included in this release.

  • UI updates & changes
  1. Organization name removed from event header: The org name no longer appears in the event header for all event types, which created a cluttered and inconsistent experience. This fix applies across the live experience and Studio views.
  2. Domain verification for SSO setup: For organizers using SSO, domain verification is now enforced before completing the Identity Provider (IdP) connection setup in SSO, preventing misconfigured SSO integrations. Attempting to configure an IdP connection without a verified domain will now surface a clear error prompt.
