- Pre-assign breakout rooms:
Now released to all RingCentral Events customers! Organizers can now pre-assign attendees to breakout rooms before the event starts, removing the need to manually move participants once a session is live..- Organizers can create breakout rooms and assign attendees to specific rooms in advance from the event management dashboard, using a CSV upload to map attendee emails to rooms. Breakout room assignments are preserved and can be reused when restarting breakouts within the same session.
- Pre-assigned attendees are automatically routed to their designated room when breakout sessions begin. Assignments can be updated or removed at any point before the session goes live.
- Speakers and moderators are excluded from automatic random assignment and can move freely between rooms.
- Pre-event check now runs in browser: The pre-event check experience now runs entirely in the browser, removing the dependency on the legacy standalone pre-event check service and improving reliability. Attendees completing the pre-event check are automatically returned to the event after completing setup.
- People tab in Sessions - Search bar for participant names: The People tab in Sessions now includes a search bar, allowing moderators to quickly locate participants by name (similar to the search capability available in the Events People tab). The list filters in real time as text is entered, and clearing the search bar restores the full participant list. Filtering criteria beyond name search is not included in this release.
