Setting up your company greeting in the RingCentral
app desktop and web | RingCentral app 

Who can use this feature?
Admins only. This is only for small and medium business (SMB) customers. Not sure which customer you are? Click here to learn more.

A company greeting will greet your callers when you use an automated response menu during business hours only. Company greeting is not available after business hours. You can use a default greeting or record your own customized greeting. 
Admins can do this during the setup process after account activation or by going to the left-hand navigation bar.

Setting up your company greeting

1. Click Company setup on the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click Review or Edit on Review company call flow card.
3. Click Company greeting.
4. Select how you want your callers to be greeted. You can select from a default or custom greeting.
5. Select Save

2. A window will appear for you to choose how you would like to record your message. You can record your greeting by phone, computer microphone, or upload a file.
3. Click Done.

Record custom greeting options

  • Phone: RingCentral will call you to record your custom greeting over the phone.
  • Computer Microphone: Speak into the microphone and adjust the slider until the volume meter turns green. You may need to allow RingCentral to access your microphone.
  • Importing: Upload a .WAV or .MP3 file. Recommended files are:
    • CITT u-Law (G711a), 8kHz, 8 bit, mono
    • PCM, 8kHz, 16 bit, mono
