Call Handling

RingCentral Rooms

Version 24.1.20 (Release date: February 20, 2024)

Rooms for Windows now available for additional brands: Charter SMB/Charter ENT/Ecotel users can now use their own Rooms account to sign in to RingCentral Rooms meetings on Windows devices.
Webinar host can now grant speaking privileges to attendees: A webinar host can use the desktop or mobile app to make any attendee a guest speaker. Rooms users will then be able to see and hear the guest speaker.
Text formatting in webinar descriptions: Rooms now supports rich text formatting in webinar descriptions.
Join Microsoft Teams meetings from Rooms: When a Microsoft Teams meeting is scheduled with Rooms, the meeting will appear in Today’s meetings. To join the meeting, tap the Join button on the controller or manually enter the Pexip CVI URL.

Highlight polls on screen

Release date: February 26, 2024

Bring the best engagement to your Session polls by highlighting them. You can now bring a poll on screen and allow attendees to vote and see the results live.

How to use the functionality:

Navigate to Session Polls, hover to the the poll you want to highlight with your mouse, and click “Highlight poll”.
Attendees will be able to vote directly on screen by clicking the option and then “Submit Response”.
Once they’ve voted the live results are also going to be visible.
In order to remove the poll, simply hover the poll on screen with your mouse and click “Stop highlighting poll”.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the Session Polls and hove over the poll there.
