Uninstalling RingCentral apps using a PowerShell script on a Windows system 

 
Over time, user environments can become cluttered with multiple versions of different RingCentral apps. PowerShell commands let you remove all prior versions. Running these scripts removes any system-wide installations of some or all RingCentral apps, depending on which script you run. Once you’ve done that, you can install current versions of the apps. When you run this script on a computer that has multiple users, the process will uninstall some or all RingCentral apps for all users.
 
This article includes seven PowerShell scripts that you can download and run on your computer:

Usage notes

You should run the scripts while logged in as a system administrator. Doing so will remove all specified RingCentral apps for all users, as well as any shortcuts.

This script is provided as a tool for IT Administrators to programmatically remove all specified RingCentral applications from End Users’ devices. We also highly recommend that you first test this script to ensure that it achieves the desired results.

Additionally, any modification or unintentional change made by you may have undesirable effects. Uninstalling all RingCentral apps

Run this script as a system administrator to uninstall all RingCentral apps installed on your computer. This script cleans up the following apps from a Windows operating system:
  • RingCentral Meetings app
  • RingCentral Meetings Outlook plugin
  • RingCentral Classic app
  • RingEX app
  • RingCentral Phone
  • RingCentral Meetings Rooms app

Uninstalling all RingCentral apps except the RingEX app

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall other RingCentral apps except the RingEX app. Doing so will remove other RingCentral apps, such as:
  • RingCentral Classic app
  • RingCentral Phone app
  • RingCentral Meetings app
  • RingCentral Meetings Rooms app
  • RingCentral Rooms app

Uninstalling all RingCentral apps except the RingEX and RingCentral Phone apps

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall other RingCentral apps except the RingEX app and RingCentral Phone app. Doing so will remove other RingCentral apps, such as:
  • RingCentral Classic app
  • RingCentral Meetings app
  • RingCentral Meetings Rooms app
  • RingCentral Rooms app

Uninstalling only the RingCentral Classic app

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall the RingCentral Classic app on your computer. Doing so will remove the RingCentral Classic app, as well as any shortcuts for all users.

Uninstalling only the RingCentral Meetings app

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall only the RingCentral Meetings app installed on your computer. Doing so will remove the RingCentral Meetings app, as well as any shortcuts for all users.

Uninstalling only the RingCentral Meetings Outlook plugin

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall the RingCentral Meetings Outlook plugin installed on your computer. Doing so will remove the RingCentral Meetings Outlook plugin, as well as any shortcuts for all users.
 
Any running Outlook applications on your computer must be restarted for the changes to take effect

Uninstalling only the RingCentral Meetings Rooms app

You should run this PowerShell script to uninstall the RingCentral Meetings Rooms app installed on your computer. Doing so will remove the RingCentral Meetings Rooms app, as well as any shortcuts for all users.
